This product will be great when I need to pack an empty water bottle to get through security, as it folds down very small. However, it is a little unstable when you set it down, though the design of the bottom means that it will stand on its own when filled at least partway with water. My main concern is that it is a little tricky to operate the mouthpiece. It will not work with only one hand, making it a bit cumbersome.

I originally bought the smaller .7L at Whole Foods and fell completely in love, so I had to get two of the 1L.The colors are gorgeous and unique. They are not the same as the standard Vapur bottles and something about the 'matte finish' makes the color richer and more complex - it shifts as you move them around under the light. Like the skin of a sea creature. As photographed, they are more-or-less a (semi-opaque) warm fatigue green and an almost green tinged midnight blue, right out of the Crayola box.These are very sturdy. I've rolled them up a million times, tossed them at the bottom of bags full of equipment, frozen them and basically put them to hard use. They still look brand new. They never leak or pop open.You can bring a bottle of water with you and be relieved of the dead weight once it's drunk. They take up so little space that it's not unreasonable to stick one in your purse or camera bag. If you need to, you can hook them to the exterior of your bag and they don't flop around as obnoxiously as you'd think, because they're flattish and the plastic slides around smoothly. The carabiner also makes them easy to loop onto a finger when your hands are full. (That seems like a dumb remark, but they seriously are more comfortable to grab than SIGG or Nalgene or anything else I can think of.)The real reason I love them is that they are SO pleasant to drink from. It's like you can pour the water right down your throat. I've never been a fast swallower, but with these I can rehydrate zoom zoom. So, even when I'm at home, I prefer to use these. All my metal ones have been relegated to fall-backs that only get used when these are waiting to be refilled. They can even stand up nicely when they are empty, even though I usually prop them in a pot when I am piping distilled water into them.

I'm a fan of this lightweight, easy-to-carry bottle. For my summer walks with the dog, I leave it half-full in the freezer and then top it up before heading out: the ice melts gradually and I've got ice cold water on the 90+-degree days here in the Washington area. BUT I'm buying a new one every year because it springs a leak. I do not subject the bottle to rough handling; and since it's touted as freezer-suitable, that shouldn't affect its durability. Vapur, please look into this and fix the problem.

My daughter homeschools my three grand daughters and they really have recess and a gym class every day. She makes them ride bikes and walk at least a couple miles daily and they always take water with them to help with hydration. I had given them other hard bottles in the past but they seem to like these flexible bottles much better as they can put them in the freezer and really chill the water before they go out. They are also great for their personal bug out bags in case of a disaster.

NOT for backpackers ! I was very excited, hoping these would be great light weight alternative for backpacking. The mouth hole to put water is just too small. you can fill it at a sink but they would not work outdoors and filtering water. It would be good for a run but I was looking for a backpacking light weight bottle, not usable if you have to boil and filter water. Otherwise great idea light weight and foldable.

I bought this for a backpacking trip where I knew I would be doing some hiking and space was high commodity. It definitely came in handy while hiking, as it holds a good amount of water. It did, however, get hot very quickly. Water is water when you're hiking, but it doesn't insulate. Also, test out where you will clip it and how you will wear it when it is full before going out on your adventure. I had to experiment a bit, as if I clipped it to my bag, it would wack my leg/side, and the edges were kind of uncomfortable. When rolled up, it is amazingly compact and really did what I needed it to do, so no major complaints here!

As an avid hiker, the concept of this bottle is great. Not only is it light weight for my pack, but the fact I can roll it up and store it easy is ideal. However, after three months of regular use it didn't hold up. I do not know if something in my bag had pierced the container on the bottom or if somehow the seal ripped. The resulting slow drip left me with a pack of wet items. Thank goodness it was a short hike vs. some of the longer ones I have planned. If this item could be improved upon with a more durable material or with better seals I would totally buy it again.

This is one of my favorite things! It has paid for itself countless times by preventing me from purchasing bottled water in airports. After many years of heavy use, one of the seams failed only because I filled it to the brim with seltzer water and forgot about it. The pressure from the carbonation was too much. I had to buy a replacement immediately. I can't say enough good things about this item.
