Glad I found these on Amazon subscription services. Since our well water is so rusty we need these every month and at half the cost of buying from the big box store it's a great deal. I wish they would last a little longer as ours clog up so fast and when they were whirlpool brand before cullingan took them over they seemed to last longer. Overall still good for heavy sediment removal. Please let me know if this review was helpful.

I use these cartridge filters in my Watts Whole House Filter system. They seem to be a good middle-of-the-road choice as far as microns. The 50 micron filters allow a bit too much sediment through and the 10 micron filter so much they have to be changed often. I use these at home and at my business for a campground bathhouse. The are good quality and inexpensive. Amazon carries them in the Subscribe and Save program which makes is really simple to keep an adequate supply all the time.

Bought these vs the 50 Micron filters that came with our filter housing and can see a difference in the water. We are rural and have our own well with high iron content water, was hoping to get so we could drink and cook with tap water, and this makes it possible. I still tend to drink out of the water cooler, but for cooking and the pets I now use tap water... saves on the number of 5 gallon jugs I have to haul!!

This filter works very well, for catching sediment the occurs naturally in spring and well water. Depending on the amount of sediment, in which I have little sediment and more iron the filter last about 3 months. That’s pretty good, you will get two filters in a pack for less then 9$, so that’s under 20$ a year for clean water, and bright whites.

I have a sever sediment problem. I am using a 3 filter system, 2 sediment and 1 Carbon filters. I was using 5 micron solid filters and having to change the first one every 5 days, moving the second filter to the first. I bought 4 of these in July and now change the first filter every 7 to 10 days wash it out and re-use it. This is the cheapest filter I have been able to find. I do have a well and have tested the water. The only problem with my water is it is very hard, nothing else. I may say not for well use but I have not had any trouble with these. A problem could arise if you have bacteria, rust or some other contaminate. I just ordered 10 more sets. If this filter gets new and improved or disappears I will at least have a years supply of filters before I have to deal with it.

Have been using these water filters for over 30 years in houses on farms with well water. These are great for getting any large particles out of the water but will not filter out the “flavor” of the water. There are other filters that can help with that process. These definitely help so not to clog our water softener system.

We have a muddy well. These get the dirt out better than 20 micron string-wound filters, for some reason. They say not to use them on water that could potentially have bacterial contamination (some bacteria can eat the cellulose), but we haven't had any problems in the several years since we switched.If you are using string-wound, give them a try and judge for yourself.
